VENOUS IMAGING

Venous imaging utilizes duplex ultrasound technology to evaluate the veins in the upper and lower extremities. This type of imaging is used to evaluate the venous system for the presence of deep and superficial venous thrombosis, venous reflux disease, and varicose veins.

The accredited Vascular Lab at Vascular Surgical Associates features advanced venous imaging technology, and our staff is highly trained to use ultrasound to assist with the diagnosis and treatment of many different vascular conditions. We also perform vein mapping ultrasounds to evaluate vein adequacy for creating dialysis fistulas and grafts.
