Dialysis Access Ultrasound

Dialysis access ultrasound is used to monitor AV-grafts and AV-fistulas. This type of ultrasound is useful in detecting problems with dialysis accesses. It is important to monitor grafts and fistulas regularly to ensure proper functioning to allow for adequate dialysis treatment. Dialysis access ultrasound can detect stenosis (narrowing of the graft or fistula) that can affect the functioning of the graft of fistula.

At Vascular Surgical Associates, dialysis access ultrasounds are performed by our skilled registered vascular technologists in our accredited Vascular Lab.
